Good Afternoon Ratepayer,
As we’re certain that most of you know by now strychnine is being re-introduced as a pest control measure for Richardson Ground Squirrels until November 1, 2027. If you have yet to complete the online training to get your name on the SharePoint list (this is what the RM is mandated to check to make sure a Ratepayer can buy strychnine). Please use the following link to take you to the site where you can complete the online training (https://sarm.ca/strychnine-stewardship-training/). It should take up to 2 days to get your name on the SharePoint list. If your name is not on the list by June 19 then unfortunately your submission will have to wait until the Spring of 2027 whereupon you will have to do the training again. Please read the below attachments carefully, RM of South Qu’Appelle Emergency Strychnine Info, then either print the Treatment-Plan-and-Declaration-Form and fill out or if your computer has the capability you can also do a fillable PDF Treatment-Plan-and-Declaration-Form2BFillable. Once filled in please either e-mail forms back to the RM office at or drop them off here at the RM office.
Please remember that these forms need to be back to the office, no later than, JUNE 22, 2026 @ 4:00pm
