Good Day Ratepayers,
Spring is here! The RM wanted to send out a reminder to all Ratepayers that hay can be salvaged on any Municipal Road Allowance. I have also added the haying bylaw (02-91) in case any Ratepayer would like to read it. Please note that the nearest Ratepayer to the land to be baled has the first opportunity to cut or bale hay. Please see below for important dates to remember when haying.
Key dates are:
May 15 – Let the RM know where you would like to bale so that we can inform Seasonal workers not to mow there.
Up to July 8th – Nearest landowner has the first opportunity to cut or bale hay.
After July 8th – Open to first come first serve basis.
By August 8th – All windrows must be baled (weather dependent of course) and bales must be removed from ditches or they maybe removed and disposed of at the discretion of the Municipality.
