Information Sheet – 2025 Wood Pole Maintenance Program
Biosecurity and Power Lines – Info Sheet
Good morning,
SaskPower contractors are inspecting wood poles throughout the province this spring, summer, and fall. Additionally, we will conduct ground grid testing on rural overhead transformers to ensure ground conductors and other electrical equipment is functioning safely and reliably. We will also install wildfire protection on poles in high-risk areas in the north. No power outages are necessary for this work.
Our top priority is the health and safety of our customers, employees, and contractors, while maintaining power reliability. While crews strive to stay within the SaskPower right-of-way, they may occasionally need to access private property. Contractors will be easily identifiable by their high-visibility clothing, identification cards, and company-branded vehicles.
The contractor for this work is Central Pole Inspections and Maintenance Inc. The approximate schedule for your area is noted on the attached wood pole maintenance information sheet. We’ve also included information about biosecurity and power lines. Please share these sheets with officials and residents as appropriate.
If you have questions or concerns while work is going on, please contact Joel Flory .
