The SOWMA is promoting Septic Awareness Week from September 16 – 20, 2019. The purpose of Septic Awareness Week is to encourage homeowners to properly operate and maintain their private sewage systems (septic systems) to protect public health and the environment. Proper operation and maintenance of these systems also protects the homeowner’s property value and the investment they have made in their personal critical infrastructure.
The information package is comprised of an information poster announcing Septic Awareness Week, followed by five daily posters which provide information on best practices for taking care of your septic system.
