293 Exemption Form

As 2017 will be a revaluation year, we must ensure that the correct exemptions are applied to all eligible properties. You will need to complete an affidavit for the 293 Exemption which must be returned to our office prior to March 15, 2017. You can find this affidavit on our website (under Administration, Forms) or you can pick one up at the office. In accordance with the provisions of The Municipalities Act, the assessment of a residence is reduced by the assessment of agricultural land which the occupants own or lease in this municipality or an adjacent rural municipality. If the owner is using the assessment of a parcel of land to reduce the assessment on his residence, the lessee cannot use the same parcel of land.
